My name is Martin Fitzpatrick and I am standing as your Independent Candidate for the Sheffield Hallam constituency in the forth coming General Election.
I have chosen to stand as an Independent candidate as I believe it is time we had Members of Parliament whose sole loyalty was to the electorate rather than a political party.

Our country faces challenging times ahead and I cannot accept that filling Parliament with MP’s, whose prime function is to defend their political party, is the best step forward.
I strongly believe that our nation needs Members of Parliament who have the drive to succeed for the benefit of the country not for the benefit of their party.
As your independent MP for Sheffield Hallam I would ensure that 100% of my efforts were to serve you the electorate.
I will work closely with the local Council and Police Constabulary to ensure that the needs of the local area are being met. I will ensure that my constituency office is staffed by the best possible local people and is open 7 days per week to ensure it is accessible to all.
I will speak openly in Parliament without fear of reprise or party censorship. I make and will uphold my pledges to my constituents which are shown on the promises page.
Most importantly amongst my promises I will always answer straight questions with straight answers.
My own election campaign is entirely self funded.
